Meet Carmi Levy - Technology Analyst & Journalist

On the afternoon of May 16, 2026, I participated in an interview-based research project titled “Research on the Artificial Intelligence Startup Ecosystem in Ontario.” I had the opportunity to interview Carmi Levy, a long-time technology commentator and regular media analyst for organizations including Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC).
Drawing on his extensive experience observing the technology sector and the development of artificial intelligence, Mr. Levy engaged in thoughtful discussions with the students about the evolving AI startup ecosystem in Ontario, covering topics such as innovation, investment environments, entrepreneurial challenges, and the broader impact of AI on society and industry. The conversation was both insightful and engaging, and the students raised many thoughtful and intellectually curious questions throughout the session.
Through the conversation with Mr. Levy, I had a more comprehensive and multidimensional understanding of Ontario’s AI entrepreneurial landscape and ultimately produce high-quality, insightful research outcomes.
