SparkMind AI is a student-led initiative founded by Darren and Alex, Grade 10 students, along with Mia, a Grade 8 co-founder. Growing up in a world where artificial intelligence is becoming part of everyday life, we recognized how important it is for young minds to understand and feel comfortable with this technology. Our mission is to make AI simple, engaging, and accessible, helping students explore how it works and how it can be used responsibly in daily life.

Our Story

In today’s fast-changing AI-driven world, we saw that many young students were using technology without truly understanding it. As students ourselves, we wanted to change that. We started SparkMind AI to introduce AI concepts in a fun and relatable way—showing how tools can be used in everyday life, from learning and creativity to problem-solving. What began as a small idea quickly grew into a shared passion: helping young minds build confidence, curiosity, and a deeper understanding of the technology shaping their future.

Founder & CEO

Darren started SparkMind AI with a vision to make complex technology simple and exciting for young minds. He believes that understanding AI early can empower the next generation to think creatively and confidently about the future. His passion lies in turning big ideas into fun, meaningful learning experiences.

Alex Song

Founder

Alex founded SparkMind AI together with Darren to bridge the gap between everyday life and technology. With a strong interest in how AI shapes our world, he is dedicated to helping young learners explore these ideas in a way that feels natural and engaging. He hopes to inspire curiosity and lifelong learning through every lesson.

Mia Cao

Co-Founder

Mia co-founded SparkMind AI with a passion for making learning approachable and inspiring for young minds. She believes that when children understand how technology works, they feel more confident exploring and creating with it. Her goal is to help every learner feel curious, capable, and excited about the future.

Samantha Zhang

Co- Founder

Samantha is a Grade 11 student at Havergal College. She enjoys tackling real-world problems and finding creative ways to make a meaningful impact in the business world.
