During this SparkMind workshop, children were introduced to the basics of artificial intelligence (AI) through a fun, interactive presentation designed specifically for ages 3–10. Using simple language, colorful visuals, and guided questions, we helped children understand the difference between things made by humans (“artificial”) and things found in nature, building a foundation for understanding what AI means. Through games and real-life examples—like voice assistants, videos, and smart devices—participants explored how AI is already part of their everyday lives.
The session also introduced how humans learn using their five senses and how machines use sensors in similar ways, helping children connect complex ideas to familiar experiences. Overall, the workshop created an engaging and supportive environment where children could ask questions, share ideas, and begin to see technology as something creative, understandable, and exciting.
